Frank Venables Theatre
A wonderful performing arts centre in the heart of the South Okanagan, the new Frank Venables stage is ideal for a wide range of dance and music, theatre, children’s events and community activities.
Oliver’s new community theatre is owned by School District # 53 and operated by the non-profit Oliver Community Theatre Society. Opened earlier this year, the Theatre literally rose out of the ashes of the much-loved art-deco style auditorium which burnt to the ground four years ago.
With close to 400 seats, the theatre is fully equipped and available for rental by local and touring artists, performing ensembles and concert promoters from within the Okanagan and around the globe. The lobby is also a perfect place for receptions, parties, weddings and community events from small trade shows to exhibitions and craft sales.
Rental rates are available for commercial presentations, not-for-profits, local groups and a special rate is available for activities for children and youth.
